What to look for in a Network Marketing Business

Network Marketing is also called Multi-Level Marketing or MLM for short. If you happen to be thinking about getting into Network Marketing then this may be helpful for you. There are things to look for in a Network Marketing business that will keep you from just spinning your wheels and getting nowhere. It is true that most Network Marketing businesses fail. That is what happens to most any business in their first five years. But if you know how to do it right, then Network Marketing is the best career in the world!

You should be able to start with little cost. Avoid big sign-up fees and expensive frontloading where you have to spend thousands of dollars to get started, buying your way to the top of a pay plan, having to purchase large volumes to qualify for your check, and having to stock inventory yourself. Run away from anybody requiring you to do those things.

Do not fall for outrageous claims such as making money with no selling. In Network Marketing you can get people placed under you without having to do anything if the people above you are doing a lot of work and your compensation plan is a forced matrix or power leg binary. That kind of thing is called spillover, but you cannot count on getting rich from that. People joining with that expectation will be disappointed. Even worse, do not get involved with a company that is offering a business opportunity but has no product or service to sell other than the opportunity. Always, before you join any company, go to the Internet search engines and check for complaints and scam warnings.

Sales and distribution are the backbone of all business. Direct sales are the type we are more familiar with. The products of a company are peddled by a salesperson that receives a commission, which is a percentage of the money gained by the sale. That is the traditional sales approach. The salesperson can also be paid on an hourly or salaried basis, even per lead contacted as long as they meet a sales quota, but the source of income for business is always sales driven.

Network Marketing is proving to be a better way, both for the companies and their product distributors or salespeople. You are still selling a product or service for the company, but you also are looking for people who want to do what you are doing, selling the company's product and making money doing it. You are building a team. What that does is take sales to another level, because once you get someone else selling for the company, the company has a new distributor and you get paid not only on your sales, but also on the new distributor's sales as well.

That is why it is called Multi-Level Marketing. When that distributor on your first level gets a new seller for the company, you also get paid from the work of that new seller. If that new seller on your second level recruits, then you have a third level. You can have a team building under you, doing sales for you, making money for you, and it can be happening without extra effort on your part! The payment plans in MLM mostly include binary, breakaway, matrix, stair-step, and the best is unilevel.

With the unilevel plan there is no limit to the number of people you can have under you at the first level. The purchases from your first level are where you get the highest commission. Commissions for purchases from your second level on down are not as high percentage-wise, but can add up to a big amount through the shear number of sales. Those earnings are often called leveraged earnings because you have utilized the work and the time of other people. That is the way to get wealthy! Network Marketing is about the referral and soft sell. You do not have to give people the hard sell to be successful. You simply use the company's product or service and recommend it to others. It helps a great deal if you are passionate about it.

The company provides promotional materials such as sales letters, brochures, recruiting calls, recorded messages, websites, flash movie presentations, DVDs, and even magazines. They should be persuasive materials that put forth the benefits of the product or service to the prospect and should include plenty of testimonials. The company should have a valuable and desired product or service that people would really want to have. Preferably, the product should be unique and manufactured by the company itself. You want the service to be a continuing monthly service or the product to be a consumable one, so that you get recurring purchases every month and an ongoing income from each customer.

With Network Marketing you will not just be making one-time sales as in direct marketing. You will be building a residual income that keeps coming in whether you work or not. It is the perfect way to build a retirement income, so the company you choose should be debt free and have been in business for at least 5 years so that you know it is solid.

Having found those things, you then present the business opportunity and the product to as many people as possible. Your warm market is people you know, such as friends, family, and co-workers. Beyond that, you can advertise, or buy lead lists of people interested in starting a business or interested in your type of product or service.

For Network Marketing the most targeted list you can get are MLM Genealogy Lists. Those are people who have showed an interest in Network Marketing by already having been involved in it. Do an Internet search for MLM Genealogy Lists if you want to buy one. Those lists are not expensive and many of the people on it already have experience building a business. Those are the people you want on your team!

Why invest in a home business

Tired of having to wake up early just so you can avoid heavy traffic and arrive at your office before the clock says you are too early for the afternoon session? There might be a solution to that but it takes guts, talent and lots of hard work and determination.

You can avoid all the negative things associated with going to the office everyday by investing in a home based business. As the term denotes, a home based business refers to a business venture that is based right in the comforts of your home.

Most people dream of a home based job not only because it offers them an opportunity to work at home sans the hassle of going out and traveling to work everyday but also because of it financial rewards. A home based business may be risky because one never knows what fate awaits his business venture. However, a person who has successfully established a home based business has struck gold.

A home based business affords one all the freedom to do as he pleases and to operate his business using his own style and skills. On top of that, a home based business requires little capital and low overhead. Compared to a mall-based business which requires expensive rentals, a home based business requires no rent at all and this can be a favorable factor in the success of the business.

A person starting up a home based business will usually choose a business which is already familiar to him either because he is already practically in that business or it is his hobby. In such case, it is presumed that he already has most of the equipment needed to start the business. Most homes already have telephone connections so using a telephone for your home based business would no longer be an additional expense.

If you are already equipped with computers and printers you can also use them in your home based either for printing marketing leaflets or for setting up an inventory. You can even make your computer the basis of your new home business catering to the printing and computer requirements of your neighborhood.

A home business does not only allow minimal capital but it also creates savings for the businessman. The savings can be in the form of your budget for fuel, working clothes, vehicle depreciation and time which would be otherwise expended if you work somewhere else. If you work for someone else, you get a fixed amount every month no matter the amount of effort you exert in your work. If you own a home based business, what you will earn will depend on how industrious you are and how dedicated you are to your business. Simply said, the more effort you exert in a home based business the better your financial rewards will be.

Making The Most of Public Domain and Private Label Content

There's so much public domain content available all over the internet, with Master Resale Rights available and sites springing up left and right with Private Label articles you can use to create your own products, but what do you need to bear in mind, what is the best way to use all this content and what can you create with it?
What to Look Out For:
Copyright - you absolutely must check on this - violating someone's copyright is not clever and can be a really expensive mistake not to mention seriously damaging your reputation. Is it really public domain? All those lawyers fees can really mount up when checking into all this but believe me, you really don't want to end up in court over it.
Public Domain Content - If you have the money to have a lawyer look at copyright for you then fine, go ahead and get started. Where can you find this type of content? It can be difficult to find content that is free to use but here are a few links to get you started:
Master Resale Rights -
If you can't afford expensive lawyers what else can you do? One rather less pricey way is to buy Master Resale Rights to a product - this gives you the opportunity to name yourself as the author, use the content in another product, rewrite the whole thing - the possibilities are endless. Just be aware with this that you will need to look at the terms and conditions of what you are allowed to do with the product before you buy.
On a budget? - not to worry, there are still many ways you can find great content without spending a fortune or worrying about whether you can legally use it. Sites such as http://www.infogoround.com/ and http://www.thelostfiles.com/ provide guaranteed public domain or private label content for a monthly fee. You could also sign up to some of the well known internet marketer's newsletters. Why? Well if you're serious about internet marketing you should be checking out all the latest happenings anyway, but a lot of newsletter owners will have free ebooks, giveaways and articles to download - some of which you will be able to use as your own.
So you've got your content ready to go and you've checked your rights and permissions but there is one more thing to think about - sites such as http://www.copyscape.com/ can check for duplicate content on the internet and of course so can the search engines. This could mean anything from the search engines deciding they won't rate your site as highly because the exact same content is available elsewhere to some smarty pants asking you if you really did write that incredibly good article because they've seen someone else claiming that they wrote it too, so you do need to be aware of this when looking to use content you haven't personally created, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go ahead and make the most of all that wonderful information.
What Can You Do?
You could just read the information to learn from it yourself; you could read it to get ideas for businesses, more articles, content, the list is limited only by your imagination. How about:
Ebooks
Print Books
Presentations Membership Sites
Face to face courses Mini courses
Teleclass content
Webcast content
Podcast content
Blog content
Content for your Autoresponder
Ezine content
Articles for your site to build AdSense income pages
Viral Reports
Tips Lists
When it comes to using all the content you have gathered, you need to look through it all and decide what you want to produce. If you plan to use content from more than one source, such as 2 or 3 articles by different authors to be combined into a report, you will need to go through and change the content into a similar style, check that it is all written in the same tense, make sure the formatting is the same throughout, check for spelling and grammar (for example - spelling for some words is different in the US than the UK) and look through all the articles to see if any of the points made are duplicated.
Once you've done this, make a list of points you want to make in your report, read the articles through again and start combining them together to fit what you want to say - cut and paste to copy sections into the right place.
Next, look at the way your draft reads now and see if it fits your style of writing, your personality and your business. Reword it to fit with this - there's no point in producing a very formally written, stiff sounding report for a hobby site.
At this point you could just tweak it, proof read it, and then go ahead and publish it but to take it a step further and make it really unique, why not look at how you might rewrite it so that all of the content is yours - now you've got the basic idea down and laid out, it shouldn't take you long to reword things, add in some of your own ideas and keywords that fit your site, and maybe a few quotes and suddenly you're looking at something that no-one else has got, that the search engines will love and that no-one can claim you copied.

Affiliate Marketing Ideas

Affiliate Marketing - what is it? It is a very simple process where you as the affiliate sell or promote a merchant's product or service for which you will receive a commission . This process is probably the lowest cost business model when starting an Online Business, and as such is the most popular method with many newcomers to Internet Marketing.
This business model exists in many different forms and are commonly called Affiliate Programs. You join the affiliate program that the merchant is operating that is selling the particular product you are interested in promoting. The most common types of programs are as follows:

1 - Pay per click - each visitor you send to the merchant's site will earn you a commission.

2 - Pay per lead - each lead you send to the merchants site will earn you a commission.

3 - Pay per sale - commission will be paid by the merchant for each sale made at his website. Each one of the above returns a certain payment for delivering the click, lead, or sale. By far the largest number of businesses utilizing this model work on a Pay per Sale system.

Many Internet Marketers will guide the beginner into Affiliate Marketing because it is considered to be the simplest business model to get started and develop. It is also considered to be the cheapest method of starting your Internet Business. Your prime costs will be in the promotion of the product or service. All costs associated with the product, sales page, delivery, after sales services, as well as merchant services set up and costs, will be to the merchants account.

When starting your Internet Business through affiliate marketing there are five steps to follow:

1 - Find your niche market which shows enough demand as well as a reasonable supply, as well as one that would support future business growth.

2 - Find out what the market is searching for in terms of solutions to problems, or a product/service for which there is a shortage of supply or even a deficiency.

3 - Research the available affiliate products and services for something that will fill the deficiency or fix the problem.

4 - Promote the product by every means available to you.

5 - Although this is not necessarily essential, owning your own website can increase your methods of promotion, but more importantly it allows you to presell the product before redirecting them to the merchants sales page.

The final item regarding your own website needs serious consideration as it will be the way to go to develop and grow your business and to start creating an opt-in list of targeted potential customers.
Creating a trust between you and your customers, as well as your partners, is of prime importance to your business. This trust will serve you well as your customers will gradually consider you to be their expert in this niche and they will take your recommendations and buy.

Do not think for one minute that without it you will be able to succeed. Affiliate Marketing, like any other business model, relies entirely upon the trust you painstakingly build over a period of time.

Benefits of Listing Your Website In a Web Directory

When looking to start or grow an existing Internet business or even offline business there is one fact you cannot get away from. That simple fact is without traffic your business is going nowhere.

This simple truth is universal to all Internet businesses and is tantamount to building a Wal-Mart on the moon it could be the biggest and best-stocked store ever but if no one can get there it is dead before it starts.

One of the best ways of promoting an online business and enhancing an offline business is with the use of web business directories. There are a few key benefits to this for your online and offline business and in this article we will look at some of those key benefits.

Among these is the main lifeblood of business and that is traffic, directories can help generate this in a few key ways. The first benefit to both on and offline businesses are web business directories. These are among some of the highest trafficked websites on the Internet with some of the highest Alexa rankings there are.

The largest of these directories and probably the best known would be Yahoo.com another large directory would be DMOZ (The Open Directory Project). Alexa is a division of Amazon.com and it runs a web traffic rating service that ranks a website's traffic with the ideal ranking being number one. Some of the websites with high (actually the lower the number the better) traffic rankings are Yahoo #1, Ebay, MySpace, YouTube and Google.

The reason this number is important to potential web business directories you are looking at is traffic, these sites get lots of it. This is good for you as many people look to directories to find what they are looking for over search engines for the key difference between them. Based on human editors almost no web directory databases use robots as where search engines employ robots called bots, which use mathematical algorithms to index websites.

Many people consider the human element of a web directory to equate to a higher quality of listing as a human can notice simple subtleties that a computer just cannot notice. This human factor is what also gives the sites a higher authority ranking expressed through the high Page Ranks most established web business directories enjoy.

Why is this Page Rank factor important to you and your business? Simply put Google gives greater credibility to sites through higher Page Ranks expressed on a scale of PR0 to PR10 with ten being the highest you can achieve. When you list your site in a directory with a high PR some of that Page Rank passes on to your site and in essence it boosts your Page Rank which helps improve your results in the SERP's (search engine results page).

This brings it all full circle as the higher your score in the SERP's the more traffic your website will get. The number of incoming links you have to your site (back links) directly relates to your position in the SERP’s. Simply put the more one-way links you have the better your websites traffic will be. What benefit is this to your offline business you may ask? Simple.

As the world embraces the technology of the Internet and more and more people turn to it for solutions to problems the more your business presence on the web becomes increasingly crucial.
Many people use web business directories as the modern day Yellow Pages. These directories can have advanced listings capabilities which can be anything from a few lines to extremely detailed business information such as business phone, address, product listings, photos of the business, etc.

This is an affordable way for an offline business of getting an online presence without actually having to build their own website. It can give the offline business a quick and simple way to join the modern way of doing business to a generation that is as comfortable doing business online as their parents were with a telephone. They use the Internet as a way of gathering information to save time and make more informed decisions when they do chose to spend their hard earned money.

In the end it boils down to this, web business directories are a way of connecting businesses and customers together in a more efficient way and to a larger, more informed audience.

How to Use Traffic Exchanges Effectively

A manual traffic exchange is a membership web site that allows you to view web pages selected by other members and allows other members to view web pages you select. In other words, a traffic exchange allows members to exchange traffic between their sites.

You can sign up as a free traffic exchange member or as a paid member with a monthly subscription. Once you sign up, you will have the opportunity to provide the URLs for several web pages of your choosing. You may also be able to include banner ads and text ads.

As you might imagine, your goal in joining a traffic exchange is to promote your URLs by having other members view them. You earn credits to have your pages displayed when you view other members' pages. Free members normally must view more pages to earn a credit than paid members. You'll typically view each page while a timer counts down, usually from 10 to 30 seconds, before you can move on to the next page.

You can also purchase credits or receive a monthly allocation of credits as a paid member. But, the most economical way to receive credits as a beginner is to earn them by surfing.

To earn credits as quickly as possible, you may want to surf traffic exchanges by opening up multiple tabs in your browser. You'll view a different traffic exchange in each tab. So, immediately after clicking to the next page in one traffic exchange you'll move to the next tab and click to the next page on that exchange. In this way you are not waiting for any timer to count down, but are earning credits on multiple traffic exchanges as quickly as possible.

Because most other members also use tabbed browsing, your page has only a second or two to capture their attention. Your page's headline must immediately interest them and distract them from clicking to the next page.

And because most members are clicking almost mechanically to get to the next page, they will need to see your page several times before they decide to do more than glance at your headline. This means you will need lots of credits to successfully promote your URLs.

These facts have a profound effect on your ability to make money using traffic exchanges. To make a significant amount of money from traffic exchanges there are two things you must do.

Build a Downline

First, you must build a downline. That is, you must encourage other people to join a traffic exchange from your promotional link to that exchange. This is important because most traffic exchanges give you credits that allow your pages to be displayed when members of your downline surf. You may receive credits worth 10% or 20% of the credits earned by the surfing of your downline.

A large downline adds significant credits to your account and allows your pages to be displayed frequently. It gives you tremendous power to promote money making opportunities on the traffic exchanges. This is why building a downline should be your first priority.

You can build a downline in two ways. One way is to cross promote. That is, you use a splash page from traffic exchange "A" on traffic exchange "B" and visa versa. So, when someone surfs traffic exchange "B" and joins traffic exchange "A" from your splash page, you've added to your downline on exchange "A".

The second way to build a downline is to make use of a traffic building resource like TrafficHoopla.com. TrafficHoopla tracks the performance of traffic exchanges and ranks them in order of effectiveness. You can join TrafficHoopla and the traffic exchanges they monitor. After joining each exchange you can add your program ID for each exchange to TrafficHoopla's database.

Then, when you advertise TrafficHoopla, the links to the various exchanges will contain your program IDs. When someone joins the traffic exchanges via your TrafficHoopla link, you'll gain a downline in each of those traffic exchanges.

So, by advertising only TrafficHoopla you can gain a large downline in a number traffic exchanges. This is a very powerful technique for building a downline on the traffic exchanges.
Build a List

The second thing you need to do as you build your downline is to build an opt-in list. Building a list is one of the primary uses of traffic exchanges. A quarter of the web pages in a traffic exchange ask for your email address while another 38% of the pages will ask for your email address when you click to a second page.

An opt-in list allows you to send out newsletters that cover a topic of interest to your list members. As you cover topics relevant to your list members you'll build credibility with them. Your list members will then be more likely to investigate the products you recommend in your newsletter.

And, when you recommend your own products or affiliate products you'll make money when your list members make a purchase. You've probably heard that "the money is in the list." When you have a large list you'll be able to make money every time you send out a newsletter.

The larger your list, the more money you'll be able to make. So, remember that the most effective use of your time while starting out with traffic exchanges is first to build a large downline and second to build a list.

Doing these things will put you head and shoulders above the average traffic exchange member.

Earn With A Craft Home Business

A craft home business is the ideal business enterprise for people who love arts and crafts. It is the best way to make the most of an individual’s natural artistic ability. There is a wide variety of craft home businesses that can be very profitable. Some of the most popular crafts for a home business include candle making, beading, quilting, soap making, flower pressing, crocheting, and even woodworking.

Craft home businesses are not only for women but also for men. Regardless of gender, both men and women have succeeded in setting up a crafting business at home. These people have made the most of their natural talent for creating beautiful objects and profited beautifully at the same time.

Types of Crafting Businesses to Start at Home Today

Candle making is one of the most popular crafting businesses for the home. There is always a market for people making candles as they make great gifts. At the same time, candles are a great accent to have in the home. The look as well as the scent of candles has come a long way since they were first made. Today, candles come in a variety of shapes, sizes and scents that will surely be big sellers.

The craft of beading has experienced a revival, as many people are attracted to the rustic appeal of the products created. An entrepreneur can produce dozens of beaded items in just a few hours and sell them for a profit. However, as with any craft home business it is important to be familiar with the basic techniques in order to create a unique trademark that is different from the rest.

Quilting is a traditional craft business that requires skill and patience. This type of craft home business is generally done by hand but there are machines available that can help speed the process along. However, most handmade quilt pieces are worth more than machine made quilts.
Another popular crafting home business is soap making using organic ingredients. Organic soaps offer more than just cleanliness based on the type of ingredient used. Soap making kits are available to help one get started on a craft home business.

Pressed flowers are another craft home business that can be turned into great gifts as well as home decorations. Flower pressing is relatively an easy craft that even people with only a hint of creativity can attempt and still make money.

Woodworking is another craft home business that both men and women can do. Handmade toys are making a big comeback in the toy industry and are also a great way to make use of one’s woodworking talents.

Why Many Home-Based Businesses Fail

Any given day, thousands of people look to get out of the rat race and work from home. In addition, many people want to get a home based business started so badly that they do not always make wise choices in choosing a work from home opportunity. As a result, many fail miserably. This, of course, does not need to happen. It is possible to pick a viable business opportunity. As discussed in a previous article, there are five top reasons many home-based businesses will never work. Let's discover six additional reasons why, if people are not careful, their home business could fail.
Reason#1: Most new opportunities have no way to help people make large amounts of money. Many opportunities will give great ideas for making money, but then leave people out in the cold by having them do everything on their own. There simply is not a good support system. Nobody should be a part of a business opportunity such as this.
Reason #2: Unfortunately, some home business opportunity promoters will take people's money and run. There are too many fly-by-night companies out there that will not hesitate to scam people. The problem is their promotions sound just as good as everybody else's. To avoid this, home based business opportunity seekers need to be very skeptical about each business opportunity they are presented, examine them carefully, and then make an informed decision.
Reason #3: Some home-based business opportunities have people work long hours for little pay. People end up getting burned out, tired, frustrated, and eventually quit. Why become part of a work at home opportunity that is like a regular job?
Reason #4: Many business opportunities offer products nobody wants. Never, ever try to market anything people could care less about. Everyone who tries to do this is doomed to fail. Always remember that the market for your products or services comes first, and the product or service must offer something exciting that people want. In addition, it is best that the company that offers the product or service has a proven marketing system that automatically sells to people the exciting product or service.
Reason #5: Many home based business opportunities force people to become salespeople. Because things are not set up right, people are forced to face rejection constantly. Avoid this type of business since most people hate to sell!
Reason #6: Most work at home opportunities pay small sums of money and no residual income. This is a recipe for disaster! If people sell low-ticket items that don't sell for very much money, it's going to be almost impossible for them to obtain financial freedom and to become rich. Never become part of any home-based business opportunity that forces one to sell tons of items just to make a decent profit. So, there you have it-six additional reasons why many home-based businesses will fail. Carefully look for potential problems with any home-based business opportunity, make sure it does not meet the criteria for any of these six problems outlined, and then make an informed choice.

Starting a Business as a Children's Party Planner

So you would like to go into business for yourself but don't have a lot of startup money. You might want to consider being the person who organizes and provides children's birthday parties. Just think, you would have a job that is all fun and games. Well, maybe not quite that, but it sounds good.
Now days, when for most families it takes two incomes to pay the bills, getting ready for a child's birthday party can be rather a hectic time and many parents have resorted to taking their child and their child's guests to a fast food joint for a party, rather than having the traditional kid's birthday party. For the same amount of money, maybe even for less in order to be really competitive until you become known, you could offer them a much nicer party, with a clown or a magician and with games in a more traditional style.
With a bit of searching on the internet, you could learn enough to be a pretty good clown or magician. If you'd rather not play this part, chances are you have a friend or family member who, for a cut of the money, would be ham enough to jump at the chance to do this and would be really good at it.
If you have the room at your home, you might even want to give parents the option of you coming to their home or bringing the children to "the party place". This has endless possibilities. If you have a large backyard, you might be able to create a portable miniature golf course that could be set up and dismantled easily for older children's parties. Oh, not on the level of the commercial miniature golf courses of course, but something that would certainly be impressive and enjoyable for a child's birthday party.
This is the kind of home business in which you well might be able to involve your children also. You might be able to hire them as junior assistants. They would probably be much more amiable to the idea of their things being used for the parties if they felt that they were a part of the business and would be apt to be on their very best behavior if they felt that they were contributing rather than possibly feeling that they were in competition with these other children for mom's or dad's attention and what child wouldn't love to live at "the party place"?

Free Ebook to Attract Opt-In Subscribers

You know by now that you should be building an opt-in list. It's one of the best ways to earn money on the Internet.
When you have a list, you can send members a newsletter with one or more interesting articles along with ads for products related to the topic of your list. The larger your list, the greater the positive response will be to your ads. And, the more money you will make.
Creating and managing an opt-in list involves a number of tasks, including:
-Defining an appropriate topic for your newsletter
- Implementing software or subscribing to an external opt-in list service
- Attracting potential list subscribers
- Preparing articles and ads to send to your list
In this article we'll discuss an aspect of attracting subscribers by offering a free article or ebook.
Today, nearly everyone expects an incentive in return for giving you their name and email address. It's not enough merely to receive your periodic newsletter. After all, they don't know the quality or content of your newsletter. So they expect something of value up front.
The typical product you can offer as an incentive is a free ebook or article.
To successfully get new opt-in subscribers you'll need to offer an ebook or article that provides immediate benefits. That is, your product must solve some problems or answer some nagging questions of your target audience.
You can offer an ebook or article you have resale rights to or you can create your own. Most existing ebooks with resale rights have been marketed for some time. Often these products have been marketed by people with more resources and experience than someone just creating their first list. So, the information in these ebooks is often familiar to many people. You'll often find that if your product has unique content you can corner the market for your particular set of solutions. This offers an advantage because your target market can only get these solutions from you.
How to Develop Ideas for Your Ebook
As you gain experience with your topical area you'll probably be able to identify some of your target audience's problems or concerns. And, knowing their concerns or problems, you'll likely be able to offer a few solutions.
Once you have identified some solutions, you can expand your thoughts to a few paragraphs. To explain them clearly and give examples, each solution may be become a chapter of several hundred or even thousands of words.
You can often research your topic and look for additional solutions by using the search engines or by searching various article sites. Once you locate material that describes solutions you can express those solutions in your own words. You can add your own examples to make your expression of the solutions unique and more personal.
While copyright protection applies to the expression of ideas, it does not prevent you from expressing those same ideas in your own words. There are many books and ebooks that express the same concepts in different words. So, your expression of the solutions you choose to present will not conflict with the rights of others.
Preparing and Publishing Your Ebook
Most people use a product like Microsoft Word to prepare their ebook or article. With it you can check spelling and grammar, create chapters, headings, bulleted lists and a table of contents. You can also add photos and clip art to help explain and illustrate your ideas.
You may already have access to a commercial clip art package. Many packages are available at your local computer store. And, even though I own several clip art packages, I've found that I'm usually satisfied with Microsoft's free library of clip art.
Microsoft allows you to download and use any of over 150,000 images and sounds from their online library. To search and download art from Microsoft using Microsoft Word, select Insert -> Picture -> Clip Art. Then select the Clips Online tab. You'll then be able to search photos, clip art and sounds for just the right images to illustrate your ideas. As long as your purpose is to enhance your own product, you can freely include Microsoft's images.
Once your ebook or article is complete you'll want to create a PDF file. This is the most popular format for downloadable ebooks and articles. People using both Windows-based PCs and Macintoshes can view documents in PDF format.
You can "print" your document to a PDF file using any of several free conversion applications. Newer PCs often come with this conversion software preloaded. If your PC does not have this software you can get it free from several sources. Three free products that create PDF files from virtually any Windows applications are:
After creating your PDF file you can then upload the PDF to your server. You'll need to upload it in BINARY format rather than ASCII format. To make sure you did everything correct you should download your PDF and test it to make sure it is viewable.
You'll also need to create a web page that promotes the benefits of your ebook or article, describes your newsletter, and includes a subscription form. In addition, you'll need a "Thank You" page that has a link to your ebook's PDF file so subscribers can download your product.
With unique content that offers an immediate benefit to potential subscribers, you're sure to have a successful list building experience.

Home Based Business Opportunities

It seems home based business opportunities are a bit more common in the US than in Europe. However the European marketplace is quickly catching on to the phenomenon of home based business and network marketing. The advantages of a home based business are evident: low cost, flexible working hours and tax benefits, to name but a few. But these advantages have pretty much been there for many years, so why the sudden growth? Why do so many people start their own home based business right now, and why would network marketing be a good thing to consider for so many others?
First of all there is worldwide economic uncertainty and many economies are either facing a recession or are in the middle of one. Turn open any newspaper and you can't miss articles on companies downsizing and laying off employees by the thousands. Network marketing offers people the chance to create a part time auxiliary income, right beside their day job. This kind of extra income has proven a great help to many families across the world.
Of course many network marketers have made a full time living out of there business. Some of them have made fortunes. But this level of success, although available to anyone who is willing to do the work, will not be for most people. Most network marketers run a part time business for a small number of hours a week earning them a couple hundred bucks a month.
Then there is the phenomenon of cocooning, where the consumer tries to shield itself from all sorts of marketing messages. Do-no-call lists are in place, making it harder and harder for companies to get their messages across to the consumer. Network marketing, which is based on moving a service or product to the end consumer based on personal relationships, delivers a strong answer to these challenges. More and more traditional companies have discovered that network marketing is a very cost effective way to reach consumers. Of course we can't forget about the internet. This technology has greatly helped making the world smaller, making it easier to find and disperse information. Network marketing companies have pioneered the internet to inform, train and motivate their independent distributors.
The cost of home office equipment has decreased considerably. These days you can set up a home office for just a couple hundred bucks. Some may argue that you don't even need that much. Any computer with an internet connection and a phone would be enough for most network marketers to operate their business. This makes it affordable for everyone to start a home based business. Compare this to the cost of running a normal business and it becomes clear why more and more people are being attracted to a home based opportunity.
And then there is the growing lack of trust in the corporate world. Not too long ago, people where quite used to having a job for life. Or at least until they decided to quit. Nowadays many people have come to realize that job security is a joke. Too many people have lost their jobs more than once only to find out that they were nothing but a number to their corporate employer. It's not just the fact that you have to go out to find another job to feed your family. It's also the fact that you've been listening to your employer bloating about the importance of their human assets when in the end in turns the employees where just considered human asses.
Network marketing not only offers people a chance to create some extra income, it also provides them with the opportunity to get some of their dignity back. Helping them realize that they don't necessarily have to depend on their employers paycheck. The support structures that many good network marketing companies offer are a great help to individuals joining this type of business. Not only will they receive the proper training on their company's products and services. They will also be educated on personal development.
The advantages of a home based business are evident and in the near future we will certainly see more of it. Looking at today's trends in the economy it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the era of monolithic companies offering jobs for life has ended. It's time to have the courage to bet on yourself again and home based business is a good way to do so. And for those people that decide to take this step, taking a serious look at network marketing is just common sense. Even in a time where common sense isn't that common anymore.

Get Prepared to Work At Home

When most people decide to work at home, they have visions of how easy and convenient it is going to be, rolling out of bed and rolling up to the computer in your home clothes, or being able to work and still never missing any of their favorite soap operas and talk shows during the day. Unfortunately, there is a lot more to contend with after making the decision to work at home than no more suits and no more commuting.
To work at home successfully, a person needs a great deal of personal motivation and self-discipline. After all, there is no train you are going to miss and no boss you are going to tick off by showing up late if you can't get yourself out of bed by eight in the morning. Instead, people who work at home have to be their own boss and monitor their own schedule in this regard, which can be difficult if you're used to being motivated by the strict schedule imposed by your office environment. On the other hand, for many individuals who don't necessarily function optimally during "normal" working hours and who prefer a more alternative approach, the work at home option can be a blessing because it allows them to work at home when it is convenient for them. In many cases, this arrangement will make someone more productive, not less. Having a flexible working schedule is a home business advantage but it can also lead to failure if not managed properly.
If you are planning to work at home, the best thing you can do is to set yourself a few ground rules and make sure you stick to them. Plan your workdays in advance - know when you are going to get up and start work, when you will break for lunch and when you will quit for the day, just as you would at office. If you work at home, your schedule doesn't have to be the same as it would at the office, but it needs to exist in order for you to be productive. Set yourself a designated work area where you will work at home and try to keep it as separate from your non-work life as you can. After all, one thing many people who work at home learn quickly is that you don't always appreciate being at home as much when you're not working if you're also at home when you are working.

Unique Home Business Ideas

Are you thinking of staring your very own home business? If you do, then, this is the right time to learn how to start it right. Today, millions of people are setting up their own home businesses. Since its inception, work at home jobs and home businesses have fast become the hottest trend in earning notable income. Some say home businesses are the best way to earn easy money.
In essence, setting up a home business is relatively easy, but earning long-term profits with home businesses is another side of the story.
There are many factors to be considered before starting a home business. One of the most important is the kind of home business that you will set up. Keep in mind that the success of home businesses will entirely depend on the kind of venture that you will take. There are many home business ideas available in the Internet. However, it is better if you will consider those extraordinary concepts. This will perk up your interest and even make more money than the usual types of home business.
1. Home-based daycare
You can start you home-based day care and earn the extra money that you need. Instead of investing big amounts of money in operating a daycare institution, why not have your very own home business day care. Most parents would love to hand over their children to some day care centers built right at the comfort of one’s home. In this way, the children will not have a hard time adjusting because of the home setting.
2. Pet sitters
If you are not fond of children and baby-sitting is not your cup of tea, then opting for home-based pet sitting activity can be a remarkable job. You do not have to find some hefty amount of money just to start you pet sitting business. All you have to do is to find some clients and prepare your home for a bundle of pets to take care of.
3. Sell something
The idea to earn more money is to sell a product. You do not have to settle for hard-to-find home businesses and establish more funds. All you have to do is to try to find something that will be worth selling. Open a garage sale on weekends. You may not be aware of it but there are things in your storeroom that are still worth buying. The main premise of setting up a home business is to be creative in coming up with ideas that will let you earn the money that you need.

Home Business Scams

Everybody wants to work from home.We are all aware of the benefits of working from home. Work at your leisure, do what you enjoy and earn money in the bargain. Who would not like this luxury. But with the mad rush for people to work from home, scamsters seem to be making a quick buck and many people have fallen prey to them. The following are a few scams one needs to be careful about before engaging in work at home opportunities.
"Envelope Stuffing Scams" This is possibly the most infamous. You are required to stuff envelopes which the company sends you after you have paid a fee with a promise that you will be paid for every envelope you stuff. The problem is you never get paid and you lose the money you have invested in buying the envelopes.
"Data Entry Scams" You see many advertisements promising you instant wealth just typing from home. But what do most of them turn out to be? Well, typing Google adwords as prescribed by the company, pay for the keywords that are suggested by them and simply advertise for " Data Entry " jobs which leads the customer to their site. In other words all you are doing typing Google Adwords using your money for advertising their site and getting a small commission in the bargain. More often than not you end up burning a hole in your pocket with Google Adwords as we all know it does not come cheap. You could do this on your own with a Clickbank and Google Adwords account and don't need to pay money to do it.
"Call 1-900 Scam" You would have to call a 1-900 number to get more details on a home business opportunity or a work from home job. These numbers are not toll free. So you pay for the call and end up getting information which is of no use to you. "Sending E-mail Scam" You are promised income by just sending e-mails. For this you have to pay the company for the necessary instructions. In return you get a list of e-mail id's to which you have to send e-mails. Here is the catch. You will probably end up spamming people and get penalized in the bargain. These are just a few scams. There are probably many more on the net. One needs to be careful before spending one's hard earned money. A simple search on Google for Home business scams can give you more information about the scams doing rounds on the net.

Easiest Ways To Make Money Online

There are many different ways to generate revenue online and some are more difficult than others.

Let’s face it, many people that first come online and find out they could make a few bucks realize really quickly that it's not all that easy.

They start searching for information about making money online and find out all too soon that there are a lot of sites out there that will let them purchase information they can use to learn how to make tons of cash for themselves and shortly thereafter they realize that the next step is to go purchase even more tools, info and study material at an even higher cost.

The other problem many people run into is that they find the many different newsletters that are online and each one is promoting a different way of making money online. Some may talk about affiliate marketing, others are discussing how to use their blogs or the power of Web 2.0 and yet others review how to use AdSense and PPC (pay per click) to boost their business.

In both cases, the new and aspiring Internet marketer is confused, lost and all too quickly fed up and frustrated after just a short time and most likely a ton of money they feel was thrown out the window.

And yet, making money online doesn’t have to be difficult, you don’t even have to have a website, your own products are not needed and you don’t have to run a massive affiliate program of your own to at least make some money to help you get started and you can quickly plug that hole in your wallet where all those precious dollars have been falling out of.

One of the simplest and quickest ways to get started generating some revenue online is to use articles coupled with affiliate marketing.

Here’s a simple guide to help you get started:

1. Head over to Clickbank and take a look at the many products waiting for you to promote them.

There are a few things you might want to look at while you are browsing around the Marketplace. Clickbank has a pretty good guide that will tell you how to tell the difference between products that are performing well and those that are bombing, but here’s one simple tip to keep in mind as well. As you look through the Pitch Pages, think to yourself for just a moment, if I was interested in this product, does this page even grab my attention? Would you be likely to purchase what you saw?

Once you have picked out a couple of products you really like, consider purchasing them so you can provide high-quality reviews of them, but if the budget is tight, that sometimes isn’t an option, so you will have to make note of the features, benefits and any other important information you got from the sales page.

2. Write one article.

Yes, that’s it. Write one simple article that features some of the key benefits of the product you will be promoting. Keep it simple and don't make it look like a sales page. For example, if the product you plan to promote is about Planning Your Wedding you could write your article based on "The Top 10 Things To Keep In Mind When Planning Your Wedding" and then list the 10 things (or however many you got) from the sales page that are related, such as Choosing The Location For Your Reception, How To Avoid Relatives Embarrassing You, How To Keep Your Bridesmaids From Looking Like Clowns. Whatever the information you found, write it out in a bullet point list and then add a few short sentences to each bullet point. It doesn’t have to be fancy, short and sweet works better. For example, if you are working on Choosing The Location For Your Reception, you could add a sentence or two about the things to keep in mind if you are planning an outdoor reception.

3. The Resource Box or About The Author

If you go look at some of the popular article directories, such as eZineArticles.com online you will find at the bottom of each article a section known as the Resource Box, or also called About The Author.

This is your place to shine. Your article was to the point, without any sales pitches, but now in this last part you are free to tell a little about yourself (and if you have a website you can add a link there too) and you can also suggest a helpful solution (the product you are promoting) that could further assist the reader with the challenges of planning their own wedding.

Keep in mind that you only have a few lines for the resource box, so you will definitely have to rewrite it a few times just so you can tweak it and get it just the way you want it, but ultimately, the goal is to have the reader click the link at the end of your article and purchase the product you are promoting, so make it straight to the point. A simple and yet effective example might be: "For more helpful information as well as awesome ways to save hundreds if not thousands on your wedding visit youraffiliatelink.com today".

Again, you don’t want it to be fancy, but your call to action has to make sure the reader has no choice but to click the link and hopefully the sales page you are referring them to is good enough to close the deal and earn you some referral commissions.

4. Last but definitely not least.

If you go to your favorite search engine and type in "Article Directory" you will find hundreds of different websites where you can submit your article for inclusion. There are other ways to spread the word about your new article, but directories are a quick and easy way to get the word out there and they are all quite easy to use. Just search for the article directories and then submit your new article to as many as you can. If possible, try to submit it to at least 20 or 30, but the more the better.

What will happen is that webmasters, bloggers and newsletter publishers that search through these directories will come across your article and if it’s a good match for their readers and visitors they will be inclined to post your article on their website, or publish it in their newsletter and they will include your Resource Box, along with the link to the product you are promoting.

Bottom line this has the potential to get your article very quickly on thousands of websites, in front of tons of newsletter readers and ultimately you didn’t have to spend a single penny for all this exposure and advertising, you didn’t have to have your own fancy website or subscriber optin list and you didn’t have to create your own product.

This same method has been used for quite some time very successfully and has in many cases returned more than just a few hundred bucks within a couple of weeks, in some cases, 1 single article has returned over a thousand dollars in a month and the best part is that your article will continue to be out there, week after week for others to see, click your link and order the product, making you more commissions.

The final thing to help you get started is when you’ve gotten this far congratulate yourself. You have done more than many of the people "day-dreaming" of making it online; you’ve actually done something about it. Now get back over to Clickbank and find yourself another product to promote, start back at step 1 and have fun making money.

Starting an Online Business

Are you trying to start an online business? Are you overwhelmed with the many online business programs available or concerned that you'll lose money by investing in them? While many offers sound too good to be true, there are some very good ones available - but how can you be sure? Learning to read 'between the lines' will better prepare you for what's really involved.

Here are some common phrases used to promote online businesses and what they really mean:

#1 - Simple & Easy

Simple and easy depends on who's speaking. A doctor may tell you it's only a 'simple procedure' but that doesn't mean that you should attempt it yourself.

Many online businesses ARE simple to operate. If you understand how it works you will be amazed at the simplicity - but getting to that point will require time and experience. You may just need to try a few to get a 'feel' for the business before deciding which one is easiest for you.

Those who have learned from experience can look back and see how simple it COULD have been if they'd known what to do all along. Finding a trustworthy guide can be a great assistance to your business efforts.

#2 - Anyone Can Do This

Sorry - starting a business of any kind is stressful and requires a learning curve. If you are attempting an online business out of desperation or the belief you will make easy money you will face enormous obstacles. On the other hand, if you are truly seeking a business you can learn, work at and make a living from, you will find something online that fits your needs.

Studies of successful business people concur that those who make it have common qualities of persistence, patience and desire. These qualities are essential when trying to start an online business - do you have them?

#3 - Turnkey

The term 'turnkey' use to mean that a business was set up and ready to go. You will find the term in business classifieds where the new owner can just step in and start running the business. Unfortunately some marketers use the term to suggest a business is fully automated - that there is no work involved.

There is always work involved. If the business really is turnkey than you will begin work right away because it has already been set to go. If you want an automated business you will have to do the work to make it automated. Either way, nobody is going to give you an automated, turnkey business that makes money - they had to do the work, so why would they share it?

#4 - It Won't Cost Anything

You absolutely CAN set up an online business with no money, but be prepared that a combination of no money and lack of experience will stifle your efforts immensely.

Most individuals who start or run a business with no money have learned how to make use of the best free techniques through experience. They have paid their dues by trying businesses that cost money. They have spent time in and around their industry or market and they've been able to see where they can cut costs.

If you are prepared to spend a LOT of time researching before starting your business you may be one of the few who does it right the first time. For most people though, expect to pay something towards your online business education before seeing results - you just can't buy experience.

Online business obviously has its share of work involved, but finding the right one has enormous payoffs many people are willing to sacrifice time and money to achieve. Running your own business is satisfying and can give you more time to do what you really want to do in life.

Creating a successful online business is within the grasp of nearly everyone who is prepared to stick to it. Face the task of starting your business with realistic expectations while continuing to dream big and you may just surprise yourself!

Creating Niche-based Websites for AdSense

Google AdSense has simplified the process of making money online for even the small time niche website owner. There are literally thousands of ways to make money online. Many of these methods require you to get people to reach into their pockets and pull out their credit cards. This is easier said than done and may be a somewhat daunting challenge for the inexperienced copywriter. However, Google’s AdSense program has streamlined the money making process by removing a step while allowing us to make money from our niche websites.

Anyone can build a website and begin to profit within a matter of minutes. We no longer have to convince our visitors to buy. In fact, we do not even have to sell them anything. Google AdSense allows us to profit with the simple click of our visitor's mouse. Here is a quick outline of how you too can cash in with Google AdSense.

The first thing you will need to do is choose a topic for the niche website that you will build for displaying Google AdSense ads. You are free to choose whichever topic your heart so desires, since Google AdSense has relevant ads for a vast range of categories and topics. It is recommended that you choose a topic in which you have experience or are interested in. This will make it easier to come up with fresh content for your website, or at least keep you interested while you are building up your website with topic-related content.

You will be developing a list of keywords based on your niche site topic and incorporating these into articles or locating articles focusing on each individual word or phrase within your list. No need to worry. Google AdSense is flexible and will only display ads relevant to your site's topic. You are now ready to build your site.

Depending on your skill set, building a website for Google AdSense will be either a pleasure or a royal pain. If you do not know HTML from BYOB, fear not, there are many free professional site templates, which will allow you to add your own pictures, graphics and personal touch in order to build a Google AdSense website to your liking. There are also many website building software programs available to make the development step a breeze even for the greenest of beginners. One such software is called XSitePro.

XSitePro is an extremely user-friendly website building software. It is a complete package containing all of the tools necessary for the design, development and construction of a website that both you and the search engines will love. XSitePro comes with a comprehensive user manual, which serves as your roadmap to access all of the features and exploit the abilities of this very capable tool. This software simplifies all of your website building tasks from creating attractive homepages to tricky website optimization. Everything in the XSitePro package is laid out beautifully in instructional videos designed to flatten the learning curve and get you in the fast lane to Google AdSense profits.

After you have built your website, you will need to apply to the Google AdSense Program. This is a very quick and painless process. Simply complete the online application form on the Google AdSense site, submit it, and wait for approval. It is that simple. Once you have been approved (This usually takes a few days), you will have access to the Google AdSense Console where you will be able to find your Google AdSense Publisher's code. This is the coding that you will insert into your website's HTML (Did I mention that XSitePro takes care of this step too?) so that you can display Google AdSense ads. If for some reason your website is rejected, you will receive a detailed explanation. Simply make the necessary changes to your website and re-apply to the Google AdSense Program.

Now you have reached the final step in the process of making money from Google AdSense. This last step is not so much a step as it is an ongoing process. In order to make money from Google's AdSense program, you will need people to click on your ads. Before you decide to simply click the ads yourself or send your new site to your list of 200 people on your msn list, stop right there. You are not allowed to click on your own ads. Furthermore, if Google finds out that you have bots or friends clicking your ads (and they WILL find out), you could be banned from their program for life.

In simple terms, make sure that your traffic and visitors are from legitimate advertising. You can advertise your new site in a number of ways. The best way to build gradual, but long-term traffic is by writing articles and submitting them to the major article directories. There are other means to get quick, short-term traffic surges, but we are building a Google AdSense business here where slow and steady wins the race. Believe me; you will be happy you built your Google AdSense house on rock foundation when you are cashing your AdSense checks for many months and years down the road.

You are writing your blog post for your audience to read, so don't forget that what you write is of interest to them. They have searched for through a keyword, or keyword phrase, and arrived at your blog. So, make sure they are happy with what they find and even interested enough to look a little further into your blog, and maybe visit your website. 2 - Words fail - see sketch. A large block of text can become very boring when reading, especially online. A picture or graphic or two placed within the text breaks up the strict framework of the post and keeps the reader interested through to the end. It is especially true if the picture is relevant to the subject of the post. 3 - The content needs to be relevant. The posts made to your business blog need to be relevant to the subject of the blog. In other words the blog is set up around your niche market and with keywords and keyword phrases that are relevant to the subject. The intent is to draw traffic to your blog based on those keywords and keyword phrases. The business blog needs to create a special relationship with its visitors with the aim to sell products or services/ If you consistently write good quality posts to your blog the visitor will return for more of the "good stuff", and will eventually trust that you know what you are talking about and buy one of your recommended products or services. 4 - Keep things simple. The art of good communication is to keep things simple. Keep away from the technical jargon unless absolutely necessary and try to keep the sentences short and to the point. 5 - Make it interactive. Audio and video are very good interactive methods, but all blogs come with a "comments" facility for each post made. Make sure that this feature is not turned off, and all comments must be approved before publishing them. Before starting out with your blog you will need to do some pre-planning as to how you will personalize and monetize the blog, as well as how often you will post to it. An important fact to resolve is where will the content for each post come from. A good business blog needs a steady stream of interesting and relevant content in order to become a profitable venture - how will you complete this task? Remember that no plan is a plan to failure.
